Shake, Rattle & Roll: Bakers & Confectioners BRANDING.
SO since leaving uni, I discovered I ain’t too bad at baking! This seemed like the perfect opportunity to make pretty little cupcake boxes and brand my own bakery! I used colours and fonts that weren’t too kitsch or cliche for a bakery but used little pictures of baking equipment on the side of the boxes.

I’m working on a new project, my own cookbook! There’s a slight 50’s feel going on but I don’t want it overly kitsch. So I tried to replicate this 50’s design on the left but hopefully making it look slightly more modern on the right.

Thought I’d post up the photos of the first issue of the magazine I created with Jessica Holbrook and Robert Darnell, it’s an expansion of my previous magazine design project but we made it bigger for our degree show! We completed this earlier on in 2012 but I have been a bit all over the place/job hunting/lazy/busy eating nandos but me and Robert are hoping to get a second issue done soon and maybe find a way to sell both!

Christmas Cupcakes and Chocolate Packaging.
Since I graduated I’ve learned to bake! Using this new found skill, I created some nicely packaged cupcakes and chocolates as Christmas presents! I’m calling my ficticious bakery ‘Shake, Rattle & Roll’. I want a kinda 50’s British vibe hence the Gill Sans Shadowed typeface. I don’t have the best photos of them but my kind friend Fran took this nice little set for me!

So i see its been over 4 months since my last post, which was at D&AD New Blood! from then til about September I graduated, went on holiday and visited the family Ireland.
Since September the hunt for a job began. Can’t say I’m successful at that yet despite trying countless interviews and interns! Anyway I do have some things to post and thought I’d start with back in July…here’s me all graduated and my fringe looking awkward in that hat…

Raw Degree Show
So, here are some pictures of my degree show that was on at The Truman Brewery down Brick Lane last weekend…I found the few days all quite stressful! but all in all I think it went well! I’m gonna have to go through the stress again for D&AD’s New Blood at the end of this month, but at least its keeping me busy…saying that I’ve been very busy this week attending the Euro 2012 matches in front of my TV.
